Designing for La Pause Cafe

What was required

Here I am showcasing the print assets that were developed. A brand is a unique identity or image that represents a company, its products or services, and its values to customers. By using the brand consistently in all the print, social and web assets helps La Pause Cafe attract new customers, retain existing ones, and so increase sales and revenue.

Project insight

La Pause Café was an opportunity to design a brand from the start. Based on the exterior sign a full suite of assets were designed and developed. The brand and an overview of the project this has been written about here.

Menus

The principle business is as a cafe so a clear menu was required that listed out the various dishes in logical groups, their prices and associated allergens. Both corporate and catering menus are laid out with the same elements and use strong imagery to evoke good food will be delivered and served.

Business stationary

Kinda old fashioned in today’s digital age but a nicely designed business card I think goes a long way.

A letterhead, so rarely used these days, was also developed. With full bleed elements including a fold mark were included. The fold mark is really old school and something I learnt to include from when I worked in DKD, Frankfurt. It’s enables the person to fold into three so it fits into a DL envelope; it even accounts for how it folds so the paper aligns against itself. Like I said, old school but the devil is in the detail. I also created an analogous MS Word version as well.

A compliments slip rounded off the collection; it enables a hand written note to included with all catering and corporate orders.

Overall the consistency in the way the brand has been implemented through and serves as a critical component of a company’s marketing and business strategy.
